bracing and getting the measurements laid out



this is the part that turned my stomach....hehe grinding on paint that's less than 2 yrs old... and quite pricey.



some cuts made.. you can see in the header panel two thin black lines marking where the panel will be sectioned to retain the stock appearance. (again, another pic that turns my stomach LOL)



the final measurement (if i'm not mistaking) of the cut sections is 7 11/16"

that would make me queasy too!!! are you gonna re paint the bed green or do bed liner?

That'd be really hard to cut those lines straight with a grinder. My cuts would be wavy!!

thanks... i'm beyond anxious and way past ready to get the bed back on.
Keep her sour! I think it would look wierd with bedliner.

I am pretty good with a grinder and could PROBABLY pull of a straight line, but I would have to change my shorts after cutting into that paint!

I can't wait to see it man! It's gonna be sick!

Can you do bedliner with that sour apple color mixed in there so it matched? That'd be pretty sweet!!

i've got to do some researching to see if anyone half-way local can do tinted/colored bed liner.
